The fabric is a bit cheap feeling and it seems to be a bit off grain on the seams. You would think they could have used a higher quality fabric to keep out dust mites/bed bugs. However it does fit my box-spring fairly well, it looks clean, and I was able to pull it from underneath to lay more on grain. However I think $30 would be a better price for the quality.
I had read of other brands ripping while they put them on their box-springs. I'd say this one isn't that bad, I certainly wasn't concerned about it ripping, it isn't that cheap.
Buy it! I didn't know what to do.. it starts to impact you psychologically and you may feel like a lepur to your friends and family until "the problem" is taken care of. In addition is the cost to wash all your clothing, possibly toss other textiles. I have a 3 yr old bed and it is fantastic..I'm not throwing out $1000 because a bug decides to call it home...these encasements work and are durable. I've read some reviews where some rip or are crunchy/plasticy. You won't even know it is there. Between my landlord spraying the crevices in my apt and placing strategic strips in my closet & couch, me purchasing the mattress, boxspring, and pillow encasements...and washing washable clothes...I am bug & egg free, and totally estatic! I can finally wear what I want rather than cover my entire body (long sleeves/pants)to hid my bites. I'm one of those who said - That can't happen to me. Best of luck... Read more

Easy to put on. Durable and doesn't tear easily. Once it's on, you can sleep without that creepy-crawly feeling. Get the mattress encasement and pillow covers too. There's no point in only protecting half of your bed. It's completely worth it. After all the money you'll spend; the nights of sleep you'll lose and all the things you'll have to throw away AFTER you get bed bugs, you'll wish you had just dropped a few preventative dollars. It doesn't matter how clean you are. It's your neighbors, your friends, the person sitting next to you at the movie theater. Just protect your bed now before it's too late!
