No stench and it pops right up when released from its packaging. The top cover is super soft. I will never go back to a spring mattress. I got a "5" in the firmness chart. It's firm and supportive but you still sink in 1-2".

As noted in other reviews and the product description, after you order the seller will contact you about the desired level of firmness. We went with a 7, which is one notch softer than the default firmness of 6.
The mattress arrived quickly, 6 days after I submitted the initial order. It arrived in a box that looked much too small to contain a full-size mattress, but they vacuum pack it so that the mattress is flattened, then roll it up and ship it. After unpacking it, the mattress poofed up to full thickness (around 10") in just a couple of hours.
There was absolutely no smell to the mattress, which was one of our points in ordering this specific one (bamboo, latex, etc). And, wow, is it comfortable. In our master bedroom we have... Read more

After I placed my order I was contacted by the seller, who told me that each mattress is custom-made and asked me if I wanted to adjust the firmness. I decided to stick with the default, and it is absolutely perfect! It is firm enough to offer great support but soft enough to feel like a dream. I haven't had it long enough to comment on how well it will hold up over time, but it certainly looks like a high-quality mattress. And one last fabulous point: it showed up on my doorstep fewer than 5 days after I placed my order!
